its really warm... but i havnt tested it in really harsh weather yet... the size is a little large for me... maybe i'm just generally small... but that means i can wear one more layer inside, which is good too... overall... i'm very pleased with the jacket and its a great price...

Very warm, would recommend
This coat is very warm and very pretty, I have the blackberry. I was surprised to see that the fleece liner does not zip in, it is just snapped at the sleeve cuffs, so when you put it on and take it off both the liner and the coat need to be zippered. I do loke the coat though and am keeping it. I am tall so I ordered an XL and it is not big and baggy it fits really nice and I would recommend it.

Columbia Women's Coat
Just purchased this coat. Very flattering fit. The interchange system by Columbia is very convenient for adding layers within the outer shell. We love the color of this coat as well.

Great Buy
Very pleased with coat overall. Nice and warm, pretty plum color. Only negative is that the two layers are not connected together, therefore you have to zipper both layers separately.

Purchased for my mom
My mother was coming to visit Michigan and needed a jacket. She's not a skier and wanted a jacket to stay warm. The jacket was too small. Probably great for skiing but bad for general use. We returned the jacket. I think it'd be great for the outdoors type....
