frumpy
As with a lot of convertible pants, these are huge (legs too wide and too long, while the waist fits well) and look frumpy. My legs are thin but not skinny and I could almost put both of them into one of the pant's legs. So much fabric is uncomfortable. The cool grey is a pretty color, the many pockets are great, the workmanship is very good, the fabric looks strong and durable but it is thin and wrinkly and because of all the pockets, zippers, etc... it could never be ironed. Who wants to iron their outdoors pants, anyway? I know I am not at a beauty contest when hiking in the wilderness, but I don't mind showing a bit of style, especially if I want to go out in public afterwards. I would love to know which brand makes convertible pants that are not frumpy, and look presentable when coming back into town. I have non-convertible hiking pants that are very flattering, why is it so hard to find nice looking convertibles?
