Somewhere between a chino and a jean lies the perfect mix of rugged outdoor comfort. Columbia's Tame the Trail twill jean isn't afraid to go there. Built from a stonewashed cotton/poly blend that's super-soft while remaining nearly bulletproof, this is a pant that thrives on adventure. Metal rivet detailing on pockets, belt loops, and cuff paneling offer rugged reinforcement and remind you of its: a well-worn pair of work pants. But unlike their cardboard-stiff canvas counterparts, these are treated with Omni-Shield for advanced moisture and stain repellency. Geometric pocket stitching is stylish without going over the top, making these the perfect jeans for climbing, hiking, or just hanging out. Authentic fit.

Better than Jeans!
I bought some of these pants a while ago and was lucky enough to find some on this site for a second buy. The cut is great (maybe a tad low) and they look very stylish. They seem to run a tad on the large side. High quality/durable fabric and great color options make this one a winner...especially at the discount price!

Great Quality - Cool Colors
Bought the brown and green colors. Already had the tan color. Strong quality jean-like pants. Great fit. Altrec delivered on fast service. Thanks!
Solid pants for outdoors or work
Maybe I should have given these 5 stars. The only reason I didn't was because I like the Kuehl Gunslingers a bit more. They run true to size, maybe a bit big in the waist. They seem very durable, relatively comfortable. Lots of room to move. They look nice on. They are just that small bit more formal than blue jeans that would allow me to wear them to work. In some ways nicer than dockers. If I could find a 31" length and 30" waist, I would buy another pair. As always, Altrec did a great job in getting them to me in a timely fashion.
