Best ever
These are without a doubt the most comfortable pair of shoes that I've bought in a long time. I have a very bad back and standing for extended period is painful, but with the amount of cushioning in the heel of these shoes it helps to alleviate a good part of that pain.

The columbia shoes are great,as all columbia items I have purchased. The color is great and I enjoy wearing them!!!! I use the shoes for my daily work out ,as well as casual wear. My daughter and wife think they are "cool".

Great Fitting Shoe!
I have never bought shoes online before without trying them on, and I was a bit scared, because a few pairs that I tried on in my local running store didn't fit the way that I needed. They would slip off the back of the heel and were too tight or too loose. These fit perfectly! I was so thankful that they were exactly what I needed. The only thing I have to say that is negative about them is that it said that they were waterproof. I don't know the extent of exactly what that's supposed to mean, but I stepped in a puddle and was soaked. Maybe I'm just stupid, but I thought that waterproof would mean that they wouldn't leak. They did dry really quickly, within minutes, so that's a plus. I would buy them again, though, because of the way that they fit and feel.

Great Value, Not Waterproof
The purpose of my purchase was to find a waterproof trail running shoe. In the description of the Ravenous shoe it stated that there were "waterproof uppers". While receiving the product I realized that the uppers must refer to the tongue of the shoe because the mesh side of the shoe is quite water permeable. The breath-ability is strong, but it is not a one way mesh pattern that only lets water out. Regardless, the shoe is a great trail running shoe that fits true, with a wider toe, and has a hatch pattern on the bottoms that serve as a great grip through mud and gravel. If you are looking for a baseline trail running shoe, for a decent price, with the capability to last 400+ miles this is a really good buy. If you are looking for a trail running shoe that will also serve as a hiking shoe in wet terrain, I would look elsewhere.

Columbia Ravenous Trail Runner
I found that the Columbia Ravenous trail had good reviews and at a great price, so I decided to go for it. I tried the shoes on around the house and the fit GREAT, even with my low arches. They feel reinforced around midfoot and the heel, which is great. They do feel a bit weird on a flat surface, so probably not great running on pavement or a treadmill. On the trail, they're amazing. It feels like the shoes literally grab the ground, like a dog's claw would when running, even on sketchy terrain. I usually run about 7 miles with my dogs and they feel just as good after the run as they do before. Another thing, they are extremely light - I think about 11oz. Overall, an AWESOME trail running shoe, but probably not off trail. Would definitely recommend them.
