Great trail shoe
I have been running trails for 35 years. I have a bad ankle. This shoe dosen't just look good. My ankle is protected, and I have great traction. Great Shoe!
Columbia puts out a great shoe!
Just got these shoes in last week, right out of the box 'wow' was the reaction. This is my first pair of columbia shoes and I'm glad they made such a good impression. These shoes are super light thanks to the Omni-Tech materials used which is key in todays hybrid hiking sneakers. I've only worn them out in light rain, stepped in a couple of puddle just to check out how waterproof and breathable they are. HELD UP GREAT! The shoes also felt great, you barely notice you have mid-height shoes on! They do feel a bit narrow but other than that pretty true to size. Breathability seems pretty good, but i'll have to see how that is when more colder weather get here (Aug 2011 when tested). As far as styling goes, I got the grey/picante, and it's pretty sharp. Online pics dont do this shoe justice in the looks dept. The one piece heel cup feels good and seems like Columbia's EVA foam Mid sole will be good for the long haul. I still need to wear it under conditions that it was designed for, but trekking around the city in mild rain with late Aug temps, the shoe feels good. I can tell this shoe is going to be one of my winter 'work-horses' Great job Columbia, I'd like to see the next gen of this shoe!
Great Shoes
I wear size 13 and the shoes fit well. Great traction, good on trails and hiking. Color does get some attention but I like that! Very comfortable right out of the box.
Perfect!
Bought these shoes as soon as they were released by Columbia. I needed a light weight hiking shoe for the warmer months. The first time I wore these shoes was on a 7 mile hike at Red River Gorge in Kentucky. It had rained quite a bit the days before and the trails were muddy and wet. My feet stayed dry as a bone. The traction was great in the mud and slippery rock areas both descending and ascending. Several times I miss stepped slightly and the mid level ankle support kept my ankle from rolling. The shoes are very light weight and my feet did not get hot at all. I would definitely recommend these to anyone!
Master of Faster,,great shoe
Great shoe, liked the feel of them. They looked great. Unfortunately they would not work with my orthopedic insert. The heel cup was to narrow to accommodate.
