Although its difficult to improve on near-perfection, we managed. The new Lhotse Mountain Parka features Omni-Heat technology for a much lighter-weight, warmer wear and Invizzip zippers for cleaner, more refined style. Still featuring nothing less than full seam sealing and our most advanced waterproof breathability, this Omni-Tech jacket forms a crucial force field against wet weather and other winter elements. By using 57% recycled polyester in the shells lining, we reduce waste and create a more environmentally friendly product. When the sun comes out, simply zip off and store the storm hood. If the warming trend continues, the underarm venting system is ready. The Lhotses true bonus value comes in the form of the zip-in liner that boasts both Omni-Heat insulation and thermal reflective lining for ground-breaking lightweight warmth.

Son loves this jacket!
I bought this jacket for my son at Christmas and he says its the best gift ever. He attends college in Erie, Pa where the wind howls and it gets quite cold but he stays nice and toasty with this coat. I would say it runs a tad small so if in doubt go up a size for sure!
The only jacket you need
I purchased this jacket just in time for the snow storms that hit the east! I got to compare it with the northface triclimate i had and honestly, i think the lhotse has a much better value. It does fit a little smaller so, i bought one size bigger like most of the other reviewers. It now feels like its half a size bigger but its very comfortable. It is very warm and i usually wear it with just a t-shirt inside. It seems very well made and is stylish as well. The do-it-all jacket is what it should be called. It will be the only jacket you ever need (unless its over 25degrees F: then jet a lighter jacket of a fleece) Finally, while the omni heat feature makes a very small but noticeable 20% difference in warmth, it make a huge awe in peoples faces when i open up the zippers and show them whats inside. They think its a jacket from the future. haha. dont even think, just buy it! you won't regret anything!!!
Great winter jacket
I'm glad I bought this jacket. It replaced an older North Face ski jacket that's served me well over the years. I've always wanted to try another brand and I don't regret going with Columbia. The quality of their products have gone up over the years compared to other brands and it shows in all the technology they've included in this jacket. It has held up very well during the winter. After an hour spent shoveling snow, I unzipped it outside and I could see steam visibly emanating from my body and the lining. Incredible! Build quality is excellent and I expect it to last me quite a long time. Only downside is that the inner lining fits snug, so it will make the jacket feel smaller than it really is. I think it was designed like this to keep the body heat in. The outer shell is true to size though. Great value overall!
Nice jacket.
I bought this coat for my husband for Christmas...he is 6 ft, 170 lbs and says the medium is a little snug. I like the look of the jacket, but think the interior would look nicer in black (it is reflective silver, presumably for function). The bad part was that my Dec. 17th order was received on Dec. 29th.
My Husband LOVES his new coat!
I bought this for him this Christmas after hearing him rave about this Omni-Heat technology. He didn't actually own anything w/ it until now. He is slowly shifting all his North Face gear for everything Omni-Heat :)
