Comfy, Warm, Activity Friendly!!
This is a great jacket! It is a very warm jacket for being a fleece jacket. The omni-heat technology is simply amazing. The jacket is also quite comfortable, possibly the most comfortable I have every purchased. I was very shocked at the quality of the build as well. Columbia has done a very good job with this one.
warm jacket
I do search for a warm jacket, but with lightweight and waterproof. This jacket meets all my expectations, with relatively low price. I went outside to try this afternoon for about 1-2 hours, it's warm by the omni-heat technique. I ordered size-M, and it's perfect for me.
Excellent jacket
I don't particularly care for big 'poofy' winter coats, nor do I care for layering my clothing. This jacket remedies both of those situations. I normally just wear a Polo or T-Shirt under this coat and it has been as warm as any parka I have ever worn ... and I have tested it in 12F with a fairly frigid wind chill accompanying it. The best part, it is super thin. I tried this jacket on in a store and I normally wear a XL, but to feel it was not 'form fitting' I had to move to an XXL. The bottom of the coat is a bit open and air can rush up, but there are draw strings so you can prevent this. The last thing about this coat, it is super comfortable. I truly love this coat
Impressive jacket
I'm an alpine skier and winter runner and otherwise very active. This jacket is actually too warm for running, although it would be excellent for cross-country skiing. I have skied downhill with it, and above 35 degrees it's perfect. It doesn't have a lot of bulk, so standing in lift lines in sub freezing weather isn't recommended. But for moderate activity, it's downright perfect. And for outdoor sports viewing, like November football in the Northeast, it's my garment of choice. Very well constructed, close, true fit--a medium is 38-40--lots of pockets. I have a bunch of jackets. I'm very glad to have added this one to my collection.
I was looking for a warm, lightweight jacket and this hit the spot. The reflective liner really makes a difference in heat retention. If i don't take the jacket off after coming indoors, i heat up very quickly, thats how good it is. So far, the jacket repels water very well and shakes off very easily. I also take this jacket with me when I travel and it isn't too bulky. I can fit it into my carry-on. I would also recommend buying one size larger. I am usually a medium and although the medium fit me, it was a bit tight so i ended up getting a large which fit just right. Overall great jacket!!
