Excellent Ski Pants
Base Camp Pants are a good choice for ski pants; we took them on a three day trip to Loveland Ski area and they performed flawlessly. On warm days, when worn over a light weight or mid-weight base layer they are perfect; my legs where chilly when riding the lift on cold days so I would recommend a heavier base layer on cold windy days. The side zip legs work great for swapping out shoes and ski books and because the zipper comes all the way up to the waist you can loosen just the waist are for a little extra room when relaxing during lunch breaks. The last day we skied we got 10 of snow and these pants repelled the snow perfectly and dried quickactually they were not wet, the water beaded right off.
I'd buy them again
The fit is perfect, probably because there is plenty of "adjustableness". Fabric is flexible and elastic for full range of motion, not like a lot of waterproof pants. Functionally, they are very waterproof, but don't turn your legs into a walking sauna. They give a durable impression, but time will have to tell. All in all, a very good value (especially since I got them on sale.)
Great versatile pair of pants
Tried these pants out for the first time this weekend up on Mt. Hood when it happened to be raining more than snowing. These pants were very water proof and yet very breathable. They are not insulated at all so sitting on snow is not the warmest of experiences but with a layer of thermals you should be fine. Love having a pair of Bibs as well versus the regular pants. My only complaint would be that I am 6'2 and the length on the pants seems to be a little short. I think I could probably adjust the suspenders to help with that a bit. Also it wasn't a big deal as I was wearing gaiters. Overall an excellent pair of pants especially as I bought them for half price!
Awesome pants
I should first say I haven't had the chance to try these pants out on the slopes, but they seem to be extremely well made. They are very comfortable with plenty of adjustments. They have 3 pockets, full length size zippers, built in gators, and are reinforced in areas where they should be. The only MINOR suggestion I would have is to make the suspenders removable since some people don't like them. Overall, a top notch product.
