Best Jacket I've Owned...worth the money!
I have tested and went through a few coats, but in terms of hardcore winters, this is a godsend! The fill is amazing and will keep you super warm. I love that there is a piece of insulation in the sleeves that can wrap around your thumb so when you put on gloves there is no exposed skin to the elements! The Onmi-Heat technology is phenomonal and has kept me super warm in MN frigid winters. Excited to have this coat for very very many winters!

It looks nice, and it is very warm and comfortable too. I would like it even better if the hood is detachable. Overall, it is a great jacket for cold weather and the price is real reasonable too. I almost wear it every day since I bought it.

So it's not a crazy down jacket. It's not that thick, but this Omni-heat thing Columbia came out with really works. I use in in New York City every day, with just a thin shirt under. It's pretty awesome, especially for this price.

Awesome Jacket - super warm!
It is incredibly wonderful. The Omni Shield reflects your own heat - combine that with the down and it is absolutely as warm as can be. I live in Vermont mountains and find it perfect for this climate. Pockets are great too - and hand pockets have very soft liners. The hood fits more perfectly than any hood I've ever had on any jacket. I highly recommend this jacket!

My first down jacket
This is my first down jacket and so far I love it! I have only worn it few times, but it seems to do the job. I am 5'11", 160 lbs, and I got the medium size and it's a great fit; not too tight, not too loose. I don't like loose clothing so I thought about getting the small size, but I'm glad I got the medium size instead. I only wear light clothing underneath because I'm almost afraid it's going to be too warm. I can't really validate the effectiveness of "Omni-Heat" because I have nothing to compare to, but it does keep me warm so I guess it works. As far as the color, I got the "Compass Blue" and I love the jacket color, but I hate the color of the zipper. I mean I think there's too much contrast between the jacket and the zipper; I think silver or even white zipper would've been better in my opinion. I also wish it had an internal media pocket with a zipper. But overall the jacket really stands out in the sea of grey and black jackets I see everywhere, and I recommend it!
