Great Pants!
These are wonderful backpacking pants. The waist sits a little higher than is popular these days, but that makes these pants perfect for backpacking. Since a pack hipbelt will not be sitting on the waistband, you don't have to fool with constant adjusting or discomfort. The higher waist is also good to have when being active, when you don't want to fool with pulling up your pants or pulling down your shirt. At the same time, these pants are very flattering. The quality of the fabric is nice, lightweight but durable. I am about 5'6", 155lbs, and have a high waist. I bought a size 8, and the fit was perfect.

I ordered these pants in the vetiver color, size 6. According to the Cloudveil size chart this is what I should wear. I am 5'5" and weigh 135 pounds. These pants were too snug in the waist and thighs so I am returning them. I would definitely order a pair in the next size up and use them for hiking. I like how lightweight they are for use in the summer.
