Mint Burton Women's Snowboard Boot

  • Burton "support" rating: 3 on a scale of 1 to 10
  • Intended for recreational, entry-level and intermediate freestyle all-mountain riders
  • Speed Zone Express lacing with single pull simplicity
  • Imprint 1 liner with True Fit design, Power Panel and integrated lacing
  • Grip-fit backstay with soft flex Thin Profile 3D Molded Tongue
  • Level 1 molded EVA footbed
  • Two-part outsole with EVA cushioning and rubber ice spikes

The simple combination of comfort and quality features at an exceptional price adds up to pure success for the all-mountain freestyle Women's Mint. In fact, according to Burton for the last six years this model has remained the world's bestselling women's snowboard boot. That makes sense when you consider the features and easy-flexing support. The Mint offers Burton's proven and popular Speed Zone Lacing, which Burton claims (possibly quite rightly so) is the fastest and easiest lacing system currently available to snowboarders. While most high-end boot closures allow you to adjust independently the upper and lower (zonal) tension, Burton's Speed Zone Lacing can be adjusted in seconds while waiting in lift lines or for your friends to catch up. Inside the Mint you'll find Burton's Imprint 1 liner with their female-specific True Fit design for women. It's a heat moldable liner that's slightly pre-molded at the factory to help ensure an out-of-the-box fit. There's also integrated lacing loops to help secure the liner to the outer boot shell. So do the math. If you're on a budget but still want a comfortable and supportive snowboard boot, the Mint is one of the easiest purchase decisions you'll make this season.

Great Beginner-Intermediate Boots
Great for Beginner-Intermediate riders. Tried them on at my local board shop, but they didn't have the color I wanted...luckily Altrec did! They initially hurt my feet, but after one day of riding I had them heat molded to my feet and the second trip up was 100% improvement. The lacing system can come undone if you don't properly tuck them in, but overall, wonderful ease of use.

Good System
Great, lightweight, warm boots that hug your feet and provide good support during your ride. The system used to secure the shoe is quick and easy to use (even with bulky gloves). I would advise going up a half size. The boots will pack out ( i.e. they become roomier with wear due to pressure and weight), but they seemed to run a bit small. I am usually a 8 1/2, but needed the 9.
