Nice Jacket
I bought this jacket in the color "gold digger" to go with a pair of burton slim fit snow board pants in kona. the accent on the inside of the jacket is grey along with the glove inserts. Regarding warmth, everyone's preference is different but you definitely don't want to be too hot when you are skiing or boarding. Use the jacket as a shell and layer as necessary. I am 5'6 and weigh 125 and got the jacket in size M, that was perfect. at every point. The only con for me is the velcro and that is just my personal preference that there is too much. I don't like the way it feels when I put my hands in the pockets or the sound it makes but can deal with it because the jacket is just so cool. I wore it on a windy and rainy day and the blazer styling works well as streetwear, just again have to be careful when I put my hands in the pockets if i'm wearing a sweater and be careful of the velcro.
Awesome Jacket
Overall the jacket fits really well. I purchased the purple color....I love it! People compliment my jacket all the time =) My only downside is the season pass holder prevents the scanners from reading it sometimes.
LOVE IT
Great buy! Its comfortable, it has everything I could want in a snowboarding jacket. Plus everyone compliments me on the color (Royal Pain) and the fit. I just love it!
Very cute coat... but layer underneath!
I tried on numerous coats before finally settling on this one, mostly because of the cut. It's much slimmer and fitted than most winter coats, but still leaves enough room to move around. The Royal Pain color is more of a purple-blue than a royal blue, which I absolutely love (although it was different than what I expected). And despite the slim cut, Burton managed to sneak in loads of useful pockets for goggles, music, etc. There's only a couple of things about the coat that I wish were a little different - the snow skirt is fixed (I'd prefer it to be removable instead) and I wish the coat were warmer. But it's warm enough with a couple of layers underneath, which I'm usually wearing all winter anyway. I'm 5'1", ~110 lbs. and the XS fits me perfectly. I tried on a size S for comparison and it just looked too big. Overall, I think the coat is a pretty good value for the price. It's not as warm as some others I'd looked at - but it's also about half the cost!
pretty but not warm
I decided to buy this jacket because it looked slim but with the extra room for movement and I was right. At first I thought a small would be too small because of the slim fit but it fits fine. However, if you were to wear anything too thick the underarms will feel like they're cutting into you. The only thing you can do then is unzip the underarm vents. There are wrist gaiters even though it says there are none. Overall it is nice and it will do it's job.
