Despite being similar in features to Burton's Men's CO2 binding, Burton's Women's Escapade binding offers exceptional freeride performance with a female-specific True Fit anatomical design for women. Think of it this way--you enjoy all the performance without cramming your feet into a binding built around the shape of some guy's foot. This is a precision freeride binding with infinite adjustment settings, but it's also incredibly lightweight when you consider how many features Burton loaded into this freeride masterpiece. The Escapade has a rugged 50:50 dual component carbon fiber baseplate that enhances your mobility. That's a different baseplate from the fiberglass/nylon baseplate found in the Escapade EST, so you enjoy a smidgen more response between your boots and your snowboard edges. The Escapade also has a removable FullBED Cushioning System that has B3 gel in the heel and a baseplate dampening pad for impact absorption after big air jumps. Burton worked hard to establish a balance between this shock absorption and terrain feel, so most female riders will find that they can still have a feel for snow and terrain conditions while riding--a characteristic that matters most in difficult terrain and changing snow conditions. The Escapade also features Burton's new Cored Ultrastrap Air. It's a high-end ankle strap that was hollowed out and filled with encapsulated air padding to minimize weight and (more importantly) improve response. What we like is the comfort on the Cored Ultrastrap Air. Tighten it up if you need to feel it's there, but this is the sort of performance binding that when sized and adjusted, you can easily wear all day without enduring excess foot fatigue. If you have a new Burton board that features a Channel binding interface, check out the similar (but a smidgen less stiff) Escapade EST.

A Great Pick
These bindings are great for someone who as been riding for a while and can tell the difference between bindings. The new toe cap by burton gives you more stability and controll, plus you can barely feel the cap, keeping your toes from going numb on those long days on the mountian! Overall a great binding!!
Beautiful and Comfortable
These bindings are beautiful, sturdy, and stay clean. The cushioned straps are not only comfortable, but have good coverage (esp in the toe area). A great pick.
