Burton retained the revolutionary design approach that replaced former fiberglass components with VaporSkin Carbon that improves the snap and durability while shaving away unwanted ounces. The Vapor remains paired with Burton's Sintered N20 WFO Base, the fastest Burton base that won't demand extra care and performance waxes at the end of every snow day. The Sintered N20 WFO Base has a dual temperature wax impregnation process that holds wax better than previous base formulas. Vaportech construction elements help lighten everything--sidewalls, topsheet and resins--without compromising essential hardcore all-terrain durability. The VaporSkin topsheet membrane further reduces the weight while enhancing the overall feel for precision performance. Burton considers the Vapor at its best on groomed runs, but you'll also find exceptional potential in the halfpipe and park. Just like seasons past, Burton tweaked the Vapor sizes to run a bit longer in 153-, 157- and 163-cm. lengths. As you probably can guess, burly riders don't enjoy the same Vapor pop and air as lighter riders, but if you weigh less than 205 lbs. when you're fully geared up for the mountain, you can still count on plenty of frequent flier miles. THE BEST!
There is no better board than this one. I have the 2009 model. Aside the ultimate performance from the components it is made up of, this board is just THE celebrity of all snowboards. The new Burton system this board offers changes the entire snowboarding experience. If you can afford it, BUY THIS BOARD! I also had a seamless and enjoyable experience ordering from Altrec!

Awesome, totally awesome!!!
Do you demand the best out of a snowboard? If so, I suggest picking up a 2007 Burton Vapor. You can't get a lighter Burton board. It might be a bit costly, but the ride is priceless. With all new Vaporskin and pro tip and tail added to the already lofty list of Burton materials (such as stainless steel edges, Sintered WFO base, Carbon I-beam, Multizone EGD, Pressure Distribution edges, and a negative core profile) this board is sure to turn head on the slopes. The topsheet is sooo fresh and sleek, but it does get a bit finger printy after a few touches. Thats nothing a quick cloth rubdown wont fix. This year they even added a 163W for you large footed riders. Now every one can float on air no matter what size foot you have. I look forward to riding this board for years to come. Expensive, ONLY if you are an expert rider
I have demoed this board twice before buying it on a good discount. This board is LIGHT and responds almost too well. It will take at least a full season just to get comfortable with it. One of the issues is that it still is a stiff board, when you enter any type of turn or even the half pipe, it's too fast, and when you are at that speed, control becomes critical, or you flip on your a$$. Maybe it's just me, but it scratches easily and attracts what I call "board tail gaters", ie thiefs. So ride with good buddies, and always, always carry it!
