Designed as a lightweight, mid-wide freeride snowboard, Burton's Supermodel X remains a favorite choice among big mountain and backcountry riders who ride any day they can--especially those who go up for 100-day seasons. It's a fast and agile expert ride that's excellent for a range of snow and terrain conditions. This season Burton took a little rigidity off the Supermodel X and gave it a flex that's similar to last year but not as tight as this season's ultra-firm T6 snowboard, but the dimensions and run radius on this Supermodel X remain the same as before. What makes this board distinctly different and far more versatile from seasons past is Burton's new Channel binding interface. Burton's Channel binding mount system allows riders to customize their binding stance while improving the connection between their bindings and their snowboards for improved power transmission. The Channel is compatible with Burton 3D and EST bindings, so you can modify your binding stance width or angle to match your riding style. Another nice touch is the extended size range in the Supermodel X collection. If you're a larger guy and you're put off by the limited pop potential of boards created for lighter riders, the Supermodel X selection offers larger lengths with broader weight capacities this season. But note that the suggested weight limit tops out at 195 lbs., and that's lower than the more rigid Supermodel X designs of seasons past.

My new Clash
I'm 32 and just got back on after 7 years. Day one on this board: Best damn riding I've ever done. By the second run I felt the confidence to grab more air than I've ever even attempted and the tweenies are totally diggin my style. Thank you Burton. You've got yourself a lifelong customer.

burton clash rocks.
this thing sounds awesome. I just picked up a 151 w/ burton freestyle bindings and dc judge boots, not included, duh, and it feels great, but I haven't gotten to ride it yet! I agree with Greg, to the guy who said boards should come with boots and bindings, leave boarding to the good, smart, real people who have an idea what its really about, and stay out of our way!

Good beginner board
An all around great board. Super good for beginners and will get them on their way to being an intermediate. Performs everywhere and turns great. It even does all right in the park. Plus, you can't beat the price. To the guy who said that boots and bindings should be included, where else have you seen a board so cheap that performs so well?
