Like the value-minded Clash and Bullet, the Blunt Wide snowboard uses an affordable and proven Fly wood core, a strategic balance of lighter woods in specific areas for better response and denser woods where support is essential. This season design tweaks include very slight width adjustments (a smidgen wider) and Burton's Pressure Distribution Edges with Rail Ready Tuning that allows you to slide without hanging up or sacrificing grip. Other proven features from seasons past remain the same: Bi-directional layers in the Biax React fiberglass around the wood core give the board a smidgen more flex than boards with Triax fiberglass, so you enjoy a forgiving ride that might let you make a mistake or two without falls. The Lightspeed Vision Base offers an incredibly smooth extruded base that can glide even without wax. The "Vision" in the name means that you'll never have to worry about others looking at dull graphics when you explode off the rim of a halfpipe. Unlike some entry-level or recreational snowboards, the Blunt Wide has a negative core profile, not an even core profile that sometimes offers more stability to beginners.
