expensive yes !
these sox cost a couple extra bucks BUT are easily the best QUALITY, most COMFORTABLE socks you can own and they will do more miles than any other brands. Thats my experience.

Comfy!
Your standard, basic, wool sock but comfortable as well as functional! I wear my socks all the time for all sorts of activities with many different kinds of shoes and don't have any complaints!

Works as advertised
I bought these on a lark as this was one area in which I had yet not invested in clothing geared towards a specific activity. I've been using low-cut socks I've purchased from Costco for years and they've served their purpose. However, I definitely felt a lot less moisture and abrasion when I used these socks. I only have one pair now, so I guess I'll have to buy more pairs to enjoy these socks all the time.

Good stuff, breathable...should have bought the next size up...I was in-between med/lg, I'm 9-1/2...will buy more

used for mountain running and walking
used bridgedale socks before and had to order more cannot beat for comfort especially on longer treks with tricky terrain
