Simple protection
I have BD pick protectors for my ice tools and pick/adze protector for my mountaineering axe. Both work quite well, are easy to put on, don't fall off, do the job and look cool. Fits my Petzl Quark ice tools well, and stays in place with or without hammer or adze accessories on the tool. Worth the small cost. Related spike protector not so great - works semi-ok for ice tools with grip gaurd, but does not stay on mountaineering axe.
