Backpacker magazine Editor's Choice Award winner blends Air Core & PrimaLoft synthetic insulation.
Winner of the prestigious Editor's Choice Award from Backpacker magazine in 2004, the Big Agnes Insulated Air Core Mummy Sleeping Pad takes the best features of the popular Air Core and add PrimaLoft synthetic insulation to create the ultimate air chamber pad. Performance features include durable, lightweight 50D nylon diamond rip-stop top and bottom, light and compact three season pad, with 2.5" of comfort, PrimaLoft eco: synthetic insulation made from 50% recycled materials, M3 synthetic insulation used in the 25" wide pad, and I-beam construction that eliminates welded seams to reduce cold spots and ensures quick inflation/deflation, Big Agnes sleeping pads are designed to provide years of comfortable nights in the backcountry. The Air Core air chamber sleeping pad has gained a huge following due to its light weight and small packed size. This pad is rated to 15 degrees comfort.

Great Sleeping Pad
This is a great product I have used it on multiple hiking trips. It feels like a full size air matress. It i very durable and it is great for cold weather camping. I used it in 5 degree temps and i stayed very warm. I am 6' 3" and i just fit on this pad, it works great with most mummy bags.
Good pad!
My first instinct was to go with the Thermarest Neo pad, but opted for the Big Agnes after considering cost and R value. I've used this pad now on two trips, one of which included nights that dipped into the 20's. This Big Agnes pad was very valuable as it kept me well off the ground. I know that the Neo is a few ounces lighter, but the Big Agnes had it beat for cost and R value. The mummy cut may be too narrow for some folks, but I've found it easy to adjust to. Also, being able to pack this pad next to my bag in the sleeping bag compartment is a real plus!
Love it!
I love this pad -- it's extremely comfortable. I use it for everything from car to winter camping. It's warm, light and stuffs down small. The valve is easy to use and allows you to inflate/deflate the pad quickly. Big Agnes includes a small repair kit (but I've used the pad many time and never had a leak). I highly recommend this pad.
Great in urban emergency conditions, too!
I haven't used my pad out in the back country yet, but a massive ice storm hit where I was visiting relatives, cutting off all power. I slept on the floor in about 45 degree temps in the house. I was never cold or uncomfortable. I'm sure the insulation would work in colder temps, too. I'm sure I'll get my 1st good nights sleep on the trail with this luxury pad!
The lightest most comfortable pad I have ever slept on.
The best sleeping pad for backpacking hands down. I have been backpacking for 15 years and I have a bad back. This pad excels for weight which is next to nothing and is also the most comfortable sleep I have ever had on the ground. It is not self inflating, which I do not mind, just don't wait until you are ready to crash to blow it up. I really like that it is not self inflating when it comes to packing it up because it deflates and stuffs quickly and easily.
