Convenient!
I've only used this tent once, but it worked almost perfect. I can't comment on durability or other long term issues. I did not use the rain fly. Likes: Very easy to set up with the nice aluminum poles all attached together in one unit, which is the 1st main reason I picked this tent. Seems high quality. Works very well with the matching optional footprint. Compact and light weight. Easily fit back into supplied carry-sack (and footprint easily fit in the sack, too). The rain fly does have the zipper near the tent opening for easy access, which is the 2nd main reason I like this tent. Dislikes: The vent netting starts about 18" or so above the floor, so no breeze reaches a person lying down. I don't think there are any handy pockets inside for keys or pocket junk. Overall, I really like this tent so far. It's just what I needed for camping alone, sets up quickly, compact. It's a 2-person, so don't expect a lot of extra room with 2 people.
