Great light weight life jacket
I have searched for a life jacket that I would like for some time. We have several different kinds all varying from class III to class V. We go white water rafting for several days at a time. I am able to move so well in it and it looks great. I bought the royal blue jacket and love it. My husband wishes he would have gotten one like mine since its so light weight and quite a bit thinner.

Great but check the waist buckle
I've worn my Astral canoeing and kayaking and it is very comfortable -- in the boat and swimming the rapids! But warning - if you buckle and snug up the waist belt and you can pull it loose by pulling on the webbing, check the way the webbing is threaded through the male part of the buckle. Mine (mail order) and the ones I tried on in a store all slipped. You just have to unthread the buckle, flip it over and rethread it. Then it won't loosen. This would only be a critical issue if the zipper broke, but why take a chance?

Awesome PFD
I bought two, one for me and my husband. He's a long time racing sailor and he loved the jacket. Very comfortable and out of the way. I'm new to sailing and I too was comfortable. It will be especially great in the fall with the hand warmer pockets. Love the kapok - it wraps around great. You don't feel like you have blocks of foam - very natural.
