Miura 50
Just got this pack about a week ago but so far I love it. I've only taken it on a quick backpacking trip into the Grand Canyon (no climbing gear) but the thing carried great and worked perfectly as a light overnighter with plenty of room to carry some beer too. The construction is great and you hardly notice you're wearing it. It doesn't hurt that it looks pretty sexy too. I wasn't real sure about the roll-top closure at first, but now that I've use it I am in love with it. I would change or add a few things if it were up to me. First of all it would be nice to have a blatter sleeve instead of just a hook. Some water bottle pockets on the side wouldn't hurt either. I'd also like to see some webbing or lashing points on the outside to strap some more gear on if necessary. I know cutting weight is always a concern, but these adjustments wouldn't add much to the packs overall weight. The last thing is pretty minor but loose straps are a pet peeve of mine and I would have expected some sort of strap management system from an Arc'teryx pack. Yeah, it's an easy fix on your own but it should be standard on a high end pack. All in all, exceptional pack so far. Can't attest to the durability yet but it seems like it will hold up pretty well. If you can afford it, I would definitely snatch one of these up.
My treasure
In both designs and functions, it is the highest. Hereafter, I will use [kore] for a long time. Thank you for a good shopping.
Really Good All Around Pack
Climbing backpacks from Arc'teryx have proven themselves to be the best around. I've tried numerous other brands over the years including osprey, north face, mountain hardwear, and black diamond, but after 100s of man hours out in the field, I find myself reaching for the Miura in my weekend adventures. It has all the whistles and bells and will work well for all of your backpacking travel needs.
Super in Every Way
What I really like about this backpack are the colors it comes in. I love that Arc'teryx makes their stuff stand out from all the other traditional colors. The lime makes it easy for me to be seen when walking way up ahead of my crew. This pack feels great, is lightweight, and feels pretty solid all around.
Another Great Product from Arcteryx
I've been wearing Arcteryx jackets for a while now and even have a pair of their pants, so I figured why not outfit my hiking gear collection with an Arcteryx backpack? I'm glad I did...this pack is very well made and feels very comfortable, even on extended day hikes that are steep and trecherous. I'm very heppy with this purchase.
