Featuring the new GORE-TEX Pro Shell fabric, the Arc'teryx Men's Theta AR Jacket is a phenomenal choice for those who frequently find themselves face-to-face with severe alpine conditions. This new fabric breathes better, lasts longer, and is even lighter than the materials used in the previous version of this popular jacket. In fact, this year's version of the Theta AR is significantly lighter than in years past, offering a greater level of comfort and packability. Crammed with features to satisfy the outdoor professional or hardcore alpine enthusiast, the Arc'teryx Theta AR makes up for any excess weight this may add by employing industry leading innovations, such as micro seam allowances and tiny GORE-TEX seam taping. But toughness and saving weight isn't all that this jacket is about. Waist and hem drawcords, articulated elbows, and no-lift gusseted underarms allow for full range of motion while blocking cold drafts and spindrift. Laminated zippers and bonded soft grommets contribute to the jacket's supple feel, and the one hand pull cords are exceedingly convenient when one hand is busy gripping an ice axe on an airy traverse.

BUY ME NOW!!!!
WOW! Three little letters that mean so much. This jacket is the last jacket you will ever need to buy. Perfect for any kind of condition and light enough not to make you overheat. Ive had shells from all of the other major brands, but this is the last shell I will ever buy.

Excellent shell
High quality and very well made. You will need a down jacket for cold weather but this jacket will keep you dry and stop the wind. (6'3''; 205 lbs: bought a XL)

This is one great jacket, pricey? yep. but worth it.
I was disturbed with myself for spending so much money on a rain jacket, but upon very close inspection---I found the workmanship to be outstanding. every nook and cranny was checked. It's a tough, well made jacket with all the features you'd expect for the bucks. The jacket will be used for cycling and hiking. The hood easily pulls over a bike helmet. And it goes without saying----you'll be dry in this jacket. Only one minor complaint---no hood storage.
