For lift served snow riding the Arc'teryx Men's Stingray Pant offers comfort and performance that's hard to beat. Made with 590N GORE-TEX Softshell Low Loft fabric it features a tough woven outer surface that's relatively soft to the touch and a brushed knit liner that feels more like a lightweight base layer than a rain shell. Laminated between these two layers is the waterproof and breathable membrane for turn carving comfort when the weather turns sour. The powder cuffs and WaterTight hand pocket zips are laminated instead of sewn, an innovation Arc'teryx introduced to the ski and snowboard industry in 1998 that improves garment strength, and reduces garment bulk and weight. Keprotec, a material that consists of 25 Kevlar, wraps around the hem for abrasion and cut resistance that stands up to icy crust and sharp ski edges. Articulated knees and a gusseted crotch offer non-binding comfort that maximizes the freedom of catching air or floating down the mountain awash in fresh powder.

Best Ski Pants Ever! !
Windproof and waterproof, what more could you ask for. A lot less bulk than other pants and there isn't any need to worry about a wet seat on snowy ski lifts ever again! I have nothing bad to say about these pants, period. 100% satisfied!
Absolutely great pant! Although it fits larger, I still like it. Thanks to its Gore-Tex softshell materials, it could provide windproof, waterproof and breathable. Moreover, it is softer than other Gore-Tex pant. This new version looks cooler than old one.
Predictably Excellent Arcteryx product
The Stingray pant is already one of my favorite ski pants. It is made with one of the softshell GORE-TEX fabrics that is not noisy but provides excellent waterproof protection. It is also quite warm. The pants fit true to size (I am 5'8", 175 lbs, 33" waist) and although they seem to be cut slightly slimmer than some in-house brands from retail sports stores, they still move well as you ski and move around in them. I like that they come with a built in belt rather than velcro to tighten or loosen the pant a bit, as Velcro always gets messy over time. They also have belt loops if you want to use a wider fabric belt with them. The pant leg has a very durable elastic hem built in, which I find easier to put over a boot than other designs that use a zipper or button. As expected, all of the inside seams are waterproof taped and sealed, and the interior fabric is very soft and silky, making them easy to slip on and off. Finally, the Recco avalanche rescue system is built into the leg, which adds an extra reassurance in case you do back country skiing. Overall an excellent ski pant, worth the price.
best fitting ski pants
I have the arcteryx titan pants for cold weather and I wanted a soft shell pant for days when it is above 20 degrees. These pants are light and probably the most comfortable and best fitting ski pants I've ever had. At 6' and 160 the medium is a perfect fit. They are soft shell so they are not at all stiff - I even used them on cold, rainy days for golf.
great pant...
These pants are very soft to the touch and don't become crinkly like the pro-shell does. A lite fleece liner keeps the chill away. They are a roomy cut great to ride in. Another fine Arc'teryx product, just wish they would have made them in black cause the blackbird is a strange color. I exchanged mine and got the black which goes better with my jackets...
