The right baselayer is essential when you're in the snow; the Men's Arc'teryx Phase AR Bottoms are a mid-level base layer that wicks moisture and maintains a dry and comfortable climate so that your body doesn't waste energy working to maintain temperature. Constructed using odor-control fabric, this hydrophobic base layer doesn't require washing between every use. Mechanical stretch textile offers unrestricted mobility so that you can enjoy the outdoors to the max with the Arc'teryx Men's Phase AR Bottoms.

Light-weight base layer
Bought these for those warm spring skiing days in the Sierra, they fit the bill for that. I use the RHO AR pants for colder days. These take a little getting use to as the stretch is not as much as the RHO in the knees, however it doesn't seem to get baggy either which is good. Also, they are not flannel like on the inside, more of a real tight. I would put them as cooler than the RHO LT so plan accordingly, however just right for spring skiing with my un-insulated ski pants on top, and they keep my legs from feeling clammy against the snow pants. I like the fact that there is no men's fly opening in the front so if I wear them without the ski pants it doesn't look like underwear. I will be watching them to see how they last, however like most Arcteryx stuff I assume they will do great.
