Maverick AR Arc'teryx Men's Jacket
Lighter Polartec fabric layers well beneath waterproof hiking and mountaineering shells.
- Warm 100% polyester Polartec® Nailhead textured fabric with a DWR finish
- Gusseted underarm sleeves for mobility
- Full front zipper backed by wind flap
- Laminated sleeve pocket
- Dual hand pockets with laminated zippers
- Drawcord hem
- Weight:1lb 9oz (709 grams)
Ideal insulating outerwear for hiking and climbing on cool, calm days, this Arc'teryx Maverick AR Jacket has a streamlined profile that easily layers beneath your skiing and mountaineering shells without jamming up your mobility with extra fabric. Like the Arc'teryx Maverick SV Jacket, this one uses a slimmed-down gusseted underarm sleeve construction to enhance your range of motion. Beneath the front zipper is a wind flap to minimize breeze penetration on blustery days, but the Maverick AR Jacket lacks the same wind resistance as the SV--although you shave at least six ounces off on the overall garment weight. This is a great technical front zip jacket for cool dry conditions and it's indispensable when paired with a waterproof shell.

Excellent, warm jacket
Warm, a high and tight collar, fits well, is relatively good in wind, a pleasure to wear.

Good but something to be improved
Warmth is the most wonderful thing from this gear. And size is also good. but color(Armadillo)is different from what was seen in monitor. Real thing I got is something with dark grey color

nice jacket
Agree with the other comments. Material is thinnner and lighter than classic polartec 200, but just as warm. However, a few washes will cause it to pill a little bit which may be of concern since there is less material to begin with.

Caution - Pilling is a major Issue with this Jacket
Bought one and it looked great and worked perfect. It still worked perfect three months in, but didn't look very nice. The jacket pilled everywhere that it regularly rubbed => elbows, under the forearm, and lower back. I found three of them at an REI used gear sale for the same reason.
