Very happy with these pants
I've had these pants for about a month now and have put them through the ringer and they have survived nicely. The fit is a little on the larger side, I am 34 waist 34 inseam 6'2'' 190 lbs and the medium fits perfect. I've been pleased with the waterproofness of them in heavy wet snowfall, but definitely needed to layer wisely when the temps are cold! The suspenders keep them from falling down while hiking with a pack and the pockets have plenty of room for stashing a hat and food for easy access. I would definitely recommend to a friend, in fact I already have.
comfortable pants
Fabric is good and seems very durable. It is comfortable and breathable. It is not very thick.Over all these are good pants.
Quality and breathable
Arc'teryx sure does make quality product and it definately shows with the Gamma Sk Pant. Breathable, lightweight abd good stretch makes these pants mountain climbing worthy. On the downside, I am missing not having reenforced knee or seat padding. The wide cuffs are great for ski boots, but bulky for use with gaiters. The drawcord for the small internal gaiter was difficult to tighten and not worthy used as a gaiter in deep snow.
A solid ski touring pant
A solid ski touring pant. The L fits my 34x34 frame well (including skiers legs, unlike the Patagonia Backcountry Guide), and the pants are nicely done but nothing spectacular. The cargo pockets are oddly positioned on the curve of the leg and I would like a back pocket but otherwise nice.
Nice Ski Pants
I've been looking for a good fitting soft shell ski pants and the Gamma SK fits the bill. I take a 33/34 waist and 30 inseam and the medium size fits great. The removable suspenders are nice for those days you don't need them. The only thing I'm mot crazy about is the mini gaiters. The draw cord doesn't really tighten up well.
