great all-around
I love this coat. Its very light and layers like a charm. The jacket is warm in chilly conditions, but I haven't had a chance to test it in inclement weather. The shoulders are roomy but the sleeves are long and I have to fold them. However, I love the freedom of movement and the technology. i feel bombproof.
I love this jacket!!!
I'm 6 foot tall and 180 and the medium fits perfectly. there is just enough room to layer with a thin t-shirt and fleece. It's great for the Fall and early Winter seasons. It's super stretchy and water resistant. I give this 5 full stars. (even if it doesn't have an inside pocket.)
Great Jacket
The design and construction of this jacket is so perfect it is almost unreal. This windproof, but unbelievably breathable fabric is versatile enough to be worn during evenings in the summer, and on the slopes during the winter. A massive temperature range is testament to how ingenious this jacket is. I also have the hooded version which is just even better!
Great Lightweight Softshell
This is a great jacket. It's an unlined softshell with good construction. The fit is slim, but not as slim as some other AT products I've purchased. It's a great 3 season jacket for everything from casual to technical use.
Nice jacket.
This jacket is perfect for the South. An unlined Arcteryx softshell is a great idea, and there are not many of them. Comfort range is from 60 down to about 40, or lower with an extra layer. That makes it work for February to May, or October to December. It is breathable yet warm. Works well to cut wind and light rain. The jacket is very well made and fits well. The sleeves are on the long side but that helps with activities like climbing, belaying, and cycling. The LT also has mesh pockets, which allow you to open the zippers and vent the jacket without opening the main zipper. Finally, the jacket has a zipper pocket on the left sleeve. Never had one of these before, but I can see how it would be perfect for a radio during climbing or backpacking. No chest pocket. Stand up collar with fleece liner. One thing that seems a little awkward at first is the long cut rear tail of the jacket. I can see the vision, for cycling maybe, but I am not sure it makes much difference otherwise. When you think of the jacket as shorter in the front for a harness, it makes more sense. I have not missed the long tail on my fleece-lined Gamma jacket. I bought an XL. I wear a 46 or 48 suit jacket and a 17.5 x 35 shirt. It fits perfectly and I can layer a sweater or vest under it. A Large would be pretty trim I think.
