Doesn't get any better than this!
Outstanding Arcteryx quality as usual! Packs small, weighs nothing, durable, breathable, and of course totally waterproof! Previously owned precip jacket which was not as breathable, fit poorly and eventually the membrane started to delaminate. Arcteryx quality is 100 times better - but at a higher price!
always bet on Arc'Teryx
I spent way too much time looking for a rain coat. Let me save you some time.... YES, it's worth the money. If you are familiar with Arc'Teryx, then you already know the answer - Arc'Teryx delivers yet another solid QUALITY product. Sure, I haven't worn it in a torrential rainfall (yet); however, for years I've been unprepared and wet too many times in The Highlands of Scotland (Isle of Skye), Costa Rican Rainforest, London (with no help from an umbrella), Canadian Rockies, all over New Zealand's South Island, and right here in Texas. Enough. It was time to invest. Only debate should be Arc'Teryx Beta SL vs Alpha SL. As much as I liked the Deep Dusk in the Beta SL... I ended up going with the Carbon Copy Alpha SL for a couple of reasons. BOTH have GoreTex PacLite (and it IS light); however, for $50 more, you get laminated pit zips and slightly longer length for more needed coverage. Beta SL felt a bit short. Plus, the Alpha SL works incredibly well as a hard shell with a fleece underneath, or on its own with a t-shirt for when the weather is humid (like here in Texas). That's where the pit zips will make the difference. Looking forward to really putting it to use hiking in Julian Alps (Slovenia) and Austrian Alps in May. Stop debating.
Excellent!
This jacket is very light, and is strong. Moreover, because it is possible to fold small, it is convenient. All processes from use in the town to use in the mountain can be used anytime and anywhere. It recommends it very much.
Great Jacket from Arc'Teryx
I purchased this jacket as I was looking for a bomber lightweight shell for mountain biking and emergency use. This jacket fits the bill as it is extremely lightweight yet the fabric is ultra durable. My only complaint is that if you have a long waist like I do, you will find this jacket to be rather short. I ended up returning it for this reason but I still highly recommend the product!!!

Great product, I was sceptical of a product with such a high price. But once I put it to the test in the rain and snow, I was impressed. Also, it is stylish and packable....what more do you need. Thank you again ALTREC for a quality product!!!
