Great lightweight Gortex shell!
I bought the Alpha SL because I wanted a more lightweight and packable gortex shell. Indeed I got both! It's a million times lighter than my 3L Pro-shell and packs down to the size of a softball. The pit zips/ full length side zipper allow me to wear my fanny pack underneath when it's raining while still keeping me cool. It's a little pricey but i used a coupon which made it a steal.

Great for light weight rain gear.
As a photographer, I need good quality, light weight rain gear. Arc'teryx quality is evident with use, wear and tear. The Alpha SL pullover is perfect to put in your pack or camera bag.

Overall Very Nice but Pricey
I have just recently bought this jacket and I was originally attracted to it because of the design but it has proven to be extremely waterproof and packable. It packs much better then my old North Face and is so much more reliable in extreme weather. I love Arc'Teryx but they tend to be very expensive but this jacket is surprisingly cheaper than most of Arc'Teryx products but still more expensive then my usual price range. But overall love the jacket.

good
Went hiking/camping for 4 days. Experienced rain, this thing kept me dry. My layers were dry. ventilation is also good. For the price, this thing performed well, still expensive.
