At the time of research there was no ATM in Uyuni, but the Banco de Crédito (cnr Potosí & Bolívar) was eagerly awaiting the delivery of one. It also gives cash advances on credit cards at the best rate, and changes US dollars. Prodem (Plaza Arce; Mon-Fri & Sat morning) and several similar places also change dollars and give cash advances; for traveler’s checks, head to Manaco (Potosí near Arce) by the Wiphala pub. Several places on Potosí buy Chilean and Argentine pesos.
