Aqualand Waterpark Santa Cruz

I visited Aqualand last week with my family (1st week of December 2009).
Here's my impression.
A 30 minute drive from the center of Santa Cruz, on the western side of the highway just a few kilometers North of airport Viru Viru, big parking area.
Although the sign at the entrance told us that the entrance price is 60 bolivianos (U$8,=), we only had to pay 40 bolivianos p.p. (U$6,=). Possibly it's cheaper on weekdays than in the weekends.
We found spacious dressing rooms with clean toilets and showers. After renting a small save box we were able to securely save our cloths and stuff.
There was also a little shop where you can buy sunscreen, towels and even bathing wear, might you have forgotten that.
The attraction itself: various big pools, for swimming, relaxing and fun. the biggest pool has artificial waves, another one is like a (circular) river where you can endlessly float along. High water slides for the brave and less high ones for the less brave.
Huge grassy areas with shady spots, (sun)chairs etc.
Various small fast food "restaurants" (chicken, hamburger, pizza) and poolbars, one of them actually in the water and offering beer in big glass bulbs.
Altogether we had very nice and relaxing day, a welcome escape from the heat, stress and hectic atmosphere of the city center.
