Lonely Planet review
With hotel quality and hostel prices this is the best value in town. Modern, tastefully furnished en suite rooms have high-quality Egyptian cotton sheets on every bed. Rooms are set around attractive gardens and have spectacular views, and there's a great new restaurant, the Luna Verde . Owners Trent and Rosario have thought of everything, right down to the close personal attention they offer guests. Three blocks uphill north of the plaza.
Our independent authors have visited La Posada del Sol and selected this as one of our recommended guesthouses in Samaipata.

Shining Star of Samaipata
It just doesn't get any better than this Bed and Breakfast. Tucked away on a hill three blocks from the main plaza in the rustic pueblo of Samaipata, the owners, Trent and Chary Wauson, have thought of everything. A traveler can enter a world of relaxation after a long journey that will spellbind you into a longer than planned for stay. The views are awesome and the attention to detail is impressive.
So what would you like?
A tour? The La Posada del Sol house guide Rufo Gutierrez will leap into action for a Che Guevara camping tour that includes a trip to secret thermal springs or a condor adventure hike full of surprises like the 70 meter La Pajcha waterfall, complete with pristine white sand beach.
The rooms are spotlessly clean and the owners and staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home. They will build a fire when it is cold and they will give you a hug if you are lonely.
Don't miss this experience during your travels.
