Everything is muy rico! (delicious!) at Hotel Rosario del Lago's restaurant. It's one of the more expensive in town, but is worth the splurge, especially for the stuffed trout in a romantic atmosphere with lake views. An excellent salad bar, imaginatively prepared main courses and Bolivian wines ensures a fine-dining experience.

Inventive use of local ingredients make up an extensive international and local menu. The vegetarian range includes a lasagna, and there's plenty for carnivores too. Dip your way through the cheese fondue with authentic gruyere cheese - it's to die for… which leaves the Bolivian chocolate fondue with fruit platter beyond description. The glassy surroundings admit lots of Altiplano light and maximize the fabulous view of the lake.
