Hi, I'm thinking about doing a jungle tour (maybe also la Pampas, although I've done the Pantanal jaguar tour in Brazil, and it sounds it may be similar) in Rurrenabaque. It is cheaper/easier to book it in La Paz? Or should i get to Rurrenabaque and then book while there? Any tour companies you guys can recommend and how much would each would be (ballpark)?
Can you please let me know if the itinerary I am thinking (Of course reading a lot of ideas in forums and guide books) make sense or need some modification? Also if possible reply few question.
I will keep posting only the part of itinerary in respective forums, like here will post for Bolivia Part only.
23-Oct - Morning take a Bus from Puno to cross…
My girlfriend and I are planning (finally!!) our trip to Bolivia. We would love to do the Ride and River trip (in Sorata withAndean Epics). Its a 3 day downhill/mountainbike trip combined with a 3 day (motorized) canoe trip into the jungle.
Is there any one on this forum that has done it before??
We would like to do it in the end of october. What is the weather like at that time in the area from Sorata to Rurrenabaque (I know its a big and diverse area).?
Any one who's keen in…
I'm looking for a bus from Santa Cruz to Trinidad. Preferably a daytime bus.
Until now I couldn't find a schedule. Transcopacabanas site at least mentioned a semi-cama bus but no schedule.
Did anybody do this trip recently and could recommend a bus company.
Even better with a link to the schedules.
I would like to share my experiences, because there are often questions about the salar-tours.
We did the tour from Tupiza with La Torre tours. (I do not say that La Torre is the best because I do not know the other touroperators.) But I can recommend La Torre tours, a very professional organization. They speak English and French as well.
It was a unforgettable trip, very well organized with a driver who gave us a very safe feeling. We had good sleeping bags and even oxygen in the car (which we…
We are considering a trip to Bolivia in late Feburary or early March 2017 . I know we will fly into Santa Cruz for sure . We will have 2 weeks to work with . We want to go to Uyuni and do the main attractions ( 3 or4 nights )there and also we want to do the Amazon River and jungle package (3 or 4 nights ) from Rurrenabaque .
Now questions which is the best route to travel and what's to see anywhere between these locations. We can do bus , trains or plains when possible .
So, I'm in La Paz right now and am not sure how to continue my journey the next few days.
My idea is the following:
Fr, 16.09.: Death road bike tour, afterwards night bus to Potosi
Sa, 17.09.: Potosi silver mines tour
Su, 18.09.: travel to Uyuni
Mo, 19.09.: start 3 day/ 2 nights tour from Uyuni to San Pedro
I kind of have to start the Uyuni tour on Monday 19.09., as I have a flight from Calama to Santiago on Friday, 23.09.
Do you think this is doable? Or should I skip Potosi? If I do that…
What could we expect to tip a driver or driver and guide for a 4 days and 3 night trip to salt flat and other sights to end in San Pedro ? Just an average so we can kind of work out a budget for our trip .
For quite a while I try to get information about a tour with the Reina de Enin starting from Trinidad.
I contacted a couple of tour agencies but didn't get a reply.
Did anyone do a tour with the Reina de Enin recently or even does know the schedule for October and where to book?
All the best and more of life
Before and after the pampas tour we will stay 1 night in Rurrebenauqe. It seems hard to find information on the internet about hostels.
What we need is a clean double room, wifi, and a place to store our stuff while being on tour.
A nice garden is a pre.
Any recommendations on guesthouses/hostels etc?
Budget around 25/30 dollar
