I will be in La Paz for about two weeks. I want a safe AND economical place to stay within walking distance of restaurants and coffee shops. I'm thinking about $15 a night for one person. Any ideas? Someone told me the Sopochaci neighborhood is good. I appreciate all suggestions!
I was hoping you could help, I'm in La Paz and likely to be here for another 3 or 4 days while I wait for my friend.
Does anyone have any good ideas of what I could do here?
I'm a bit travel fatigued after a bout of altitude sickness (hoping I can get my travel mojo back!) and I am on my own for the next few days - are there any things I could do that are more relaxing or are easy to find (maybe with a tour group?)
I realise I'm probably not in the best city for relaxing! Really…
wanted to go to bolivia at the end of this year but from reading the CDC website, it sounds like the virus has spread all over south america(?). not sure how true this is but can anyone advise on the realities. thanks.
We will visit the salt flats last days of august en will continue to La Paz.
Is it necessary to book the nightbus beforehand? And if yes, how long before? Anybody experience with that in this time of the year?
Hi I plan to travel from La Paz to Arica in November. I understand it is an 8 hour trip through some beautiful scenery
Would anyone have any experience of doing the trip and be able to advice if breaking the trip up would be advisable and be able recommend places to stop in Lauca NP
Hello. I'm looking for others who might be interested in doing a 5 night 6 day hike and climb out of La Paz from around the 23 July. There are various operators/guides that run a trip out to Condoriri (Laguna Tuni) then through to Huayna Potosí, seeing and experiencing some amazing landscapes. Getting an extra couple of enthusiasts along will help to keep individual costs down. It's possible the 5 nights / 6 days could be reduced to 4 / 5. Some prior acclimatisation will be required given…
Does anyone have the email adress where I can book my TAM flights directly to TAM?
They seem not to have any possibility to book online.
I heard their rates from La PAz to Rurrenabaque are very competative compared to Amaszonas.
I am going with two friends to Bolivia August 1 to August 11.
Being the first time we travel to Bolivia, we plan to go to Uyuni and then from there do the tour of the area.
Can you advice any private tour services from Uyuni for the trip? How many days are needed? 4 are sufficient?
Any tip / past experience would be super-appreciated?
I understand that you can better go by plane than by bus from Samaipata/Santa Cruz to Sucre.
Can you trust Amaszons by buying a ticket in advance?
I read somewhere that they often cancel flights without any notice.
Hi All. I'm arriving in La Paz (airport) around noon and I have a couple of hours before the evening bus to Uyuni. Any suggestions what I should do in my free time? Does it make sense to look for some luggage storage and go sightseeing? Or would it be better to stay in some hostel and take a rest before the trip?
