Hi,

we're going to Bolivia this October.Does anyone of you have any experience or knowledge about the "Che" festival in Valle grande? We thought about going there, but it is very hard to find more information on the internet.

Furthermore - can anyone share his experience on day tours to the Cordillera de los frailes? Any recommendations on tour operators or certain trekking tours?

Thank you very much in advance,
Anita

Hi, I am a fluent Spanish speaker and native English speaker. I want to move to Bolivia and become a citizen. I would like to join the Navy, Air Force, or even Army when I move to Bolivia in a year.

Can someone help me out? I read that joining the Military helps speed up the naturalization process. Is that true?

What are the requirements to join any of the branches?

Thanks again.

If you're planning to travel by road next week check before setting out. Miners' "cooperatives", and other coop organizations, are threatening road blocks beginning Monday.

Hi all,

This has been mentioned before but most information I've seen seems to be out of date. I'm looking for a tour of the Salar (3-4 days) but I've heard they are pretty basic. I'd like to find something a bit more comfortable with decent food and preferably hot water. I don't mind paying a bit more for this but my budget doesn't extend to full on luxury either. If anyone knows of any mid-range tours I'd be really grateful for recommendations,

Thanks!

Hi! I'm having trouble finding a tour that includes kids. We are going to San Pedro on Saturday and I'm keen to book a safe (ish) tour that kids can go on. Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers

Main roads in the departments of Oruro, Cochabamba and Potosi are blockaded in a number of places , due to a protest by miners' "cooperatives".
At midday the La Paz 'bus terminal said that no long-distanced 'buses were operating.

Presumably 'buses to Desaguadero, Copacabana and Yungas are not affected, likewise connexions between Cochabamba, Sucre and Santa Cruz.

At the end of June, my partner and I took the tour 4 days / 3 nights from Uyuni and had a bad experience with Mammut Expedition and then with Huracán Expeditions . Among many other turds and bundled , the first , run by Rosemary , made it back to Uyuni ( a city where you do not want to stay more than one night ) during the second night while we had to sleep in San Juan , so we left the tour ; They did not meet schedules or agreed at the office; and finally they joined us with a tour company…

My husband and I want to travel from Puno, Peru to Copacabana, Bolivia on a SUNDAY in November(20th) We would like to book in advance just to be sure that we can get there. Can anyone recommend a reputable bus company or tour company that has an English speaking driver or guide that can advise if necessary with the boarder crossing into Bolivia. We don't want a local bus service that stops in many locations. We also have concerns about the safety aspects of some buses and we have also…

Hi all,

I'm planning a trip to Bolivia in mid-late October. My current itinerary is to enter from San Pedro de Atacama on a tour ending in Uyuni. I would then travel to Potosi, Sucre, La Paz, and Copacabana. I have a couple of extra days and am thinking about maybe going to Tupiza from Uyuni before traveling to Potosi (i.e. bus Uyuni-Tupiza and then Tupiza-Potosi) since I keep reading about how nice the scenery is around Tupiza. I would love it if it there was a salt flats tour leaving from San…
