To snap or not to snap?

Over on the Thorn Tree, members ask the prickly questions. Such as, is travel better with, or without a camera in tow?
Documenting your journey is easier than ever, thanks to leaps in technology. Now we can capture and warehouse our travel moments literally as we're having them.
But as much as they're grateful for the chance to file away the memories, travellers are also wary of the camera getting in the way of an authentic travel experience. A photo can be an indispensible aid to memory. But if you get too caught up in taking pictures, can you forget to actually "experience" what you're shooting?
Our community of travellers have been arguing over this one for some time.
See what they're saying in our Thread of the Day, and tell us what you think here.
