Thorn Tree 4 (TT4) Is Coming!

The time has come to replace the current Thorn Tree software. I liken it to a much loved Combi van. It's travelled a fair distance, clocked up a few miles and been at the heart of so many adventures, but as much character as it does have, it's broken down one too many times to make it economical to fix. You can't pick up hitch hikers if the doors won't open! Well, you could, but it's a tad uncomfortable. And besides, we're not currently wired for air con and we could really do with a car alarm and air bags. You've persevered with us too. How many times have you helped push it? Ah, you're a life saver!
Before you panic, let me assure you we understand what makes Thorn Tree forum so unique and why you love it. It's simple, straightforward and honest. It gets you from A to B, and then some. It's forged friendships and got you out of a spot of bother in its time. We’d be sniffing petrol to jeopardize that.
We're practical, pragmatic folk. Our project goals are just as simple;
1. Keep what works, replicate as much as possible, fix or replace what's broken
2. Action feedback and requests
3. Um, repeat steps 1 & 2 incrementally to ensure sustainability
The real fun starts once we've got our new forum on the road, ready to navigate new directions. Clean up the FAQs. Better organized trip reports. You know the list. It's your list! We can’t do everything at once, but we'll make some headway.
