How to make an 'encounter' video

A place is as much about the sights as the characters you meet. Check out one of the latest videos from the Lonelyplanet.tv community - a cute little video about a local NYC character filmed and edited by Lauren, one of our favourite film talents.
Here's how she did it. Step 1) Find a charismatic local character. 2) Film him at work talking about the city. 3) Film him talking and walking around his neighbourhood (try not to bump into a lamp post!). 4) Film him talking at home where you have more control over the sound and location. 5) Film some general shots of NYC. 6) Edit it all together with a nice little sound track. 6) Enjoy!
