The scoop on authors

It's easy to forget that behind every Lonely Planet guidebook are flesh and blood authors who've logged their travel miles and done the hard investigative yards for you.
Short of saying hi at a writing festival, or running into them by chance, there's not many ways to meet these characters, or hear their colourful stories.
To help remedy that this month's edition of Comet brings you a day in the life of an author, tips for aspiring travel writers from on the road authors, a chance to test your writing skills and more. We want to find even more ways to connect our authors with their readers, so look out for more interviews, blog posts, podcasts, videos and features.
