I’m planning a tour to Bhutan. I’d like to spend a couple of days in a monastery to learn how to meditate and then to make a visit to the country.
Do you recommend any tour agency to arrange everything (namely the monastery - do you recomend any?
I just returned from Bhutan, I had read many trip reports on this forum about Bhutan. Here is a little info. To visit Bhutan it will cost you either $200 to $250 a day minimum. Bhutan is a developing country in Asia. If there are three people going in the group then thats around $750 a day to be driven around Bhutan tourist sites and stay at average hotels and eat average food in Bhutan. I was in Bhutan in January last year and there was a song that was quite popular at the clubs and amongst the young people. The chorus of the song went something along the lines of: chap chor ki, chap chor jee, chap chor ki, chap chor jee
It has been stuck in my head for a long time, if anyone has a link to that song, I would like to download it and would be very grateful

I'm adding some days to go to Bhutan, however, looking at the two airlines that fly Katmandu to Paro and return, it seems there are no return flights available for about 3 weeks. I'm curious about overland. I know it would add time which would take away from days in Bhutan. Might some of you who have travelled area offer alternative suggestions since air bookings look limited? I'd hoped to fly from Katmandu Aug 7 or 8…

I will be trekking in Bhutan for a month (September 2016). Does anyone know if I can buy compressed gas (like this image: http://www.cyclocamping.com/articles/gas_canister.jpg) used for a portable cook stove in Thimphu or Paro? I've trekked before, and loved it. While reviewing my notes from my last trip a small cook stove for tea, rice, beans, etc. would be ideal.
