My flight to Iceland leaves Brussels at 2PM on Friday July 15, what time should I be leaving Bruges. Is the train the best way to get there? We are two females in our seventies but are both rather experienced travelers. Thank you.
We're planning a short 4-day trip to Belgium in early June and will bring our 4kg little dog with us. We realize having our dog with us will greatly limit where we can visit. But since we have seen way too many museums and churches in Europe and so they are not on our list for the Belgium trip, we think it's quite ok.
We have found these places/activities quite interesting which also allow dogs:
1. Brussels free walking tour by SANDEMANs
2. Hiking in the Hautes Fagnes

I'm going to Holland and Belgium next month with a few friends. We arrive in Amsterdam, where we're spending a couple of days, and then we should hire a car and drive down to Belgium for 5-6 days. We plan on focusing in the Ardennes region and beer.
The plan is to visit Maastricht, Spa, Hautes Fagnes, Bastogne and the Orval Abbey, among other breweries.

Could we get a…
I was hoping on an update of the situation of Brussels as I want to know whether I should travel there or not.
My first question is does anyone know the official UK goverment advice on travelling there. I've looked at their website and it's a minefield. I need to know as my insurance is void if they advise against travelling there.
Second question is the public transport running? I am happy to walk around the city but was planning to catch a train to Ghent and/or Bruges while I'm there.
I note that the recent public gatherings after the Brussels bombings have taken place in the Place de la Bourse. Just out of curiousity, is there a reason why they were held there rather than the the Grand Place? Is there a symbolic difference between the two locations? Is it a matter of physical convenience? Security? I was in Brussels in September, and so I have a pretty good picture of the layout of both locations.
Hello, I've looked for a similar thread, but to no avail, apologies if I've missed it.
I'm due to travel to Brussels on Thursday morning. I've been following social media as much as possible while at work today, and plan to do the same tomorrow. My current plans involve Eurostar to Brussels and then on to Antwerp, Brugge and Gent in the days following (not returning to UK until Tuesday evening).
I guess I'm just looking for advice about whether to go, particularly now the FCO has advised…
