Lonely Planet review for De Foyer
Convivial brasserie on the 1st floor of the Publiekstheater, near the tourist office. Overlooking St Baafskathedraal, dine on an array of Flemish meals and snacks including wicked pancakes. The three-course lunch menu (Monday to Friday only) is great value.

Historic setting won't make you forget the small portions
annkaatje recommends this,
Located in the heart of Ghent underneath the three towers De Foyer is an excellent place to have lunch. As you enter the majestic hallway and walk up the stairs to hang your coat, you already feel the atmosphere building up, preparing you to enter the big historic and fantastic setting where you can enjoy your lunch. The place was crowded, but unexpected guests to our party were welcomed without any problem. The food is served quick, but portions are rather small so consider some delicious soup before the main course. There is a dessert buffet in the center of the big room where you can choose from fresh fruit to something with much more calories. I considered the complete lunch rather pricey due to the small portions but I would go again without hesitation..
