Hi guys thought I'd look to you lot on advise on where to go and what to see,
Basically I booked for me and a few "friends" to go to Ghent and Amsterdam for my 24th so I booked the ferry and a apartment in Ghent (Amsterdam I've been able to cancel) less than a week to go and they've all dropped out, which leaves me £330 out of pocket and on my lonesome,
So I've got the 1-5th of July in Europe 1-3rd I'm in Ghent after that it's free game and I don't know where I'm going to end up,
So it's there…

I am flying back from Moscow to the USA and I have about a 19 hour lay over in Brussels. I fly in on Tuesday August 9th at about 17:00 and then fly out again the next day at 12:00. I would like recommendations about where to stay and what to do. I would guess it might take about 2 hours to get through the airport and settled into a hotel and that I will need to leave my hotel maybe at 9:30 to get to the airport. So I think that gives me enough time to get dinner and just sort of get the…

Yesterday, huge queues outside to enter the departure halls and use the few authorized lifts ! The opposite of security, easy target of hundreds of passengers outside.
Even for arrivals, a labyrinth to reach trains and busses, what's the point ?
Avoid Brussels Airport !

My flight to Iceland leaves Brussels at 2PM on Friday July 15, what time should I be leaving Bruges. Is the train the best way to get there? We are two females in our seventies but are both rather experienced travelers. Thank you.

Hi everybody,

We're planning a short 4-day trip to Belgium in early June and will bring our 4kg little dog with us. We realize having our dog with us will greatly limit where we can visit. But since we have seen way too many museums and churches in Europe and so they are not on our list for the Belgium trip, we think it's quite ok.

We have found these places/activities quite interesting which also allow dogs:
1. Brussels free walking tour by SANDEMANs
2. Hiking in the Hautes Fagnes
3. Hiking the…

Hi,
I'm going to Holland and Belgium next month with a few friends. We arrive in Amsterdam, where we're spending a couple of days, and then we should hire a car and drive down to Belgium for 5-6 days. We plan on focusing in the Ardennes region and beer.
The plan is to visit Maastricht, Spa, Hautes Fagnes, Bastogne and the Orval Abbey, among other breweries.
Would it be easier do stay in one place and do day trips do these places or a road trip ? In the first option, where to stay?
Could we get a…

Hi

I was hoping on an update of the situation of Brussels as I want to know whether I should travel there or not.

My first question is does anyone know the official UK goverment advice on travelling there. I've looked at their website and it's a minefield. I need to know as my insurance is void if they advise against travelling there.

Second question is the public transport running? I am happy to walk around the city but was planning to catch a train to Ghent and/or Bruges while I'm there.

Are there any nice hiking trails or hills to hike while in Brussels, or do you have to go far away?
