I am into local food (e.g., Buckwheat blini, Lazanki, khaladnik, perepecha, zhur, Polivka, Schav, Kvass, to just name a few!), and my questions are as follows;Where is exactly National Foods restaurant? Apparently somewhere in Trinity Suburb, but I cannot nail down its exact location. My research shows apart from National Foods there is another restaurant, Vasil'ki(http://www.vasilki.by/). This franchise looks VERY posh to me, or rather too posh for the local Belorussians to dine!…
My research shows it is located at Ulitsa Very Horuzhej 8, but I cannot locate it on Google Map.
Could someone tell me exactly where it is and also when it is open (weekend only?)?
I am thrilled to visit Minsk end of December and wonder if money changers are open at weekends in central Minsk as I arrive at weekend from Vilnius.
Banks are NOT open at all at weekends, right?
I hope they charge at a reasonable rate!

I'm a Danish national planing on traveling to Belarus overland via Poland. As we don't have a belarusian embassy in Denmark, I am wondering if it is possible for me to obtain a visa at a belarusian consulate or embassy in Poland?
Apparently Belarus sees Denmark as a migration secure state. What does that mean?
I am planning to spend a full day in Minsk and the 2nd day to to to a number of locations eg mir castle on the way to Brest then over night there and a half day there before returning to Minsk in the evening.
Would anyone recommend hiring a driver for the drive to and from Brest ?
Also is this a good idea for 2 days or should we just spend in Minsk?
Lots of Thanks in advance

Belarus has been on my list for a long time but I somehow never made it, maybe partly because of the Visa hassle.
I now found a flight from Vilnius to Tbilisi that arrives at MSR at 10.50 and doesn’t leave until 22.50. So in theory a perfect excuse to spend a full day in Minsk.
The question is will I get a transit Visa for this? I read about Visa on arrival but couldn’t find anything about transit visa. So would the embassy need to issue it beforehand? Otherwise I could risk visa on…
Hi, we are two Australians who will be crossing from Russia into Belarus where we want to buy a van and take our time driving to France.
Cost isn't really an issue (we have a bit of money, but don't want to waste it obviously) but I'm unsure on the rules and regulations of taking a car bought in Belarus across the border to Poland.
Are tourists able to purchase used cars in Belarus? Legally obviously :) Provided we are, and we have all papers in order, is it possible to continue into europe?…
I am a Portuguese citizen and I plan to travel to Belarus in middle of August, I know I have to get a visa with a proper invitation for a private type of visa.
The issue is there is no embassy in my country, there nearest one would be in France which is quite far.
Does anyone know how can I apply for my visa?
NOTE: I am arriving by train therefore it's not possible to get one on the airport.
Thanks in advance.
