I will be staying in Minsk and I'm thinking of doing a day trip to Brest. I know, I know...it's far! But I don't really mind sitting with a book and looking out the window for four hours (each way) =)
But, with that said, if someone feels that Brest isn't worth the time and effort, and feels that another city/town/site is a better fit for a day trip, I'm curious to hear that!
Is Belarus cheap and/or worth visiting? I have just looked at the cost of a visa and they are expensive. I would only want to go for a week or two anyway so I am deciding whether to leave it out completely duirng a trip around East and Central Europe.
I met a girl from Belarus in Europe and we got into relationship. I want to visit her in Belarus but it seems I need an invitation. I'm from Lebanon (Middle East). She said she could make me the invitation, but I read the application form and they say I need to describe the purpose of my visit. What should I say there? I'm visiting a friend or going for Tourism?
She said she could make me the invitation, is it safe for her? I don't want to put her in danger. I'm gonna stay at her house…
I would appreciate any information about the Forest Tale theme park in Baranovichi. Local name for it should be "Lyasnaya Kazka". When seraching information about it I have only found that it is somewhere there but nothing more specific about the address, visiting times etc. I thought of a daytrip from Minsk to Baranovichi for the visit, train connections should be possible for that. So if anybody has been there and could tell more about this place I would be happy to learn more. Here is a link…
I have got my first night of accomodation booked in Belarus, which I had to pay for in order to get my invitation letter, however after reading some recent reviews on my accomodation I wish to change to another place after my first night, is this allowed in accordance with my letter of invitation/visa? I have been told that I will need to send an e-mail a few days before my arrival to confirm all additional nights in my original accomodation, which makes me think that changing hostels won't be a…
I had asked this a while ago but wanted to see if anyone else could chime in, if possible.
I was going to purchase a train ticket for Minsk to Vilnius on a Saturday morning in early September. As I like to get things done early, I went to purchase the ticket. The payment form was with "BelAssist Bank" or something similar. Anyway, the bank couldn't process my card (I had a problem with that same bank when I tried to pay for a tour agency with them...I called my credit card (which is a travel…
Applying for a Belarus Transit Visa in the UK.
The embassy website is a bit confusing, I wondered if anyone has experience with this process.
I have train tickets booked, (from vilnius to minsk and minsk to kiev) all within 48 hours.
I have medical insurance but it doesn't specifically say Belarus, is "worldwide" sufficient? I've called my insurance provider but they're inflexible about doing anything about it for me.
Does anyone know if I can apply on behalf of other people at the…
Hi, I would like to take advantage of the visa free entry to Belarus when visiting Belovezhskaya Pushcha National Park. Various websites say that I need to register to do this and will receive an e-mail document. I have not been able to find a working link to do this. Can anyone help?
