Does anyone know if it's possible to get a transit visa at the Belarus embassy in London (as opposed to going through an agency), and if it's possible, how much does it cost?
Within the past 3 weeks, I've sent that embassy 3 e-mails, plus I've phoned them God knows how many times. The phone just rings, and rings and rings, ............
Any ideas anyone?
I am set to go to Belarus tomorrow morning. I have everything ready, and since my country (Norway) doesn't have a Belarus embassy, I can apply for a visa at the airport in Minsk (and I have confirmed this with the airport). I got my letter of invitation from my hostel over a week ago, and they said they also delivered the letter of invitation to the airport, like they are supposed to.
This morning the hostel suddenly sends me a mail saying that they regret to inform me that the government has…
What's the deal with couchsurfing in Belarus? Are potential hosts supposed to provide some sort of invitation or something?
If so, what happens if I and a host want to extend my stay? Does the host have to provide another invitation letter?
So, if I do go to Belarus, am I supposed to have invitation letters for every one of my nights in Belarus, whether it be from one host, multiple hosts, hotels, hostels, guest-houses, whatever? Is that correct?
Ideally, I'd just rather be in Vilnius, and…
Hey, had anyone exchanged GBP to belarusian rubels? How does it look like in smaller cities? I'm going to Belarus from Poland, crossing the border in Białowieża and I will have some small PLN notes for exchange before I go to Minsk.
As some of you might know it is not possible to get a visa for Belarus here in Sweden. I want to go to Warsaw soon and Belarus is very interesting for me to visit. So I will go to Warsaw and try to get a visa for Belarus there. Is there anyone here who recently applied for a Belarus visa in Warsaw that can share the experience?
What do I need to bring to the embassy in Warsaw? Is a printed hotel booking in Minsk from booking.com and my travel insurance enough?
I am going to be in Belarus for a couple of weeks and wanted some advice on what I might bring to give as small gifts to people I meet en route - are there any items in short supply that would be particularly welcome, eg sweets or toiletries?
Thanks for any advice.
I am Indonesian passport and plan to visit Belarus (Minsk) for tourism purpose for 5 days. Where do i need to contact to get letter of invitation in order to get tourist visa ? Since i am not from OECD countries, i suppose i will need fully arranged tour or i can get away by only book the hotel ?
I am currently on the point of concluding a degree in Translation Studies with Russian as my language of specialization. I would be interested to stay in Minsk for at least one whole month, from mid-June, most likely, with the purpose to further my language skills in Russian.
I’m a Spanish citizen, I'm 32 years-old, and I’m well-traveled, but I still feel that I need a piece of advice in regards to what the best options for housing are—that is, what do you reckon is more…
Would anybody be able to tell me the cost of a Visa -all in -for a short one, or two, night visit to Minsk from the UK? I have searched online but have found two separate figures.
Many thanks in advance.
I am travelling to Minsk next week and I would like to do a day trip to Njasviz and Mir. Has anyone done this with a combination of public transportation and taxi, e.g. with train/bus to one of these places, with a taxi to the other and then back to Minsk with train or bus? Is this an option at all? Or should I rather go with a tour? Any recommendations? I could also join a tour in Russian even though I am not fluent at all.
Also I would like to visit Chatyn. Has anyone done it by bus + hiking…
