Did you receive how many days for tourist visa in
Russia or Belarus?
We can apply maximum 30 or 90 days.
If you are the citizens of EU or some nations,
you can apply visa just by hotel reservation.
But the consulate gave me just 2 days because
(they said) I paid only 1 night in the hostel.
Do it often happen in Russia & Belarus? Or
the staff's corruption?
I am planning a 5 day visit to Belarus, and am trying to pack everything in going out of Minsk tourist circle, and looking for information.
My plan is to enter from Warsaw into Brest, then move to Gomel/ Homyel - Vitebsk - Polotsk - Minsk. Then I have 3 questions:
1. Overland transportation from Brest - Gomel/ Homyel
I found 2 trains and am surprised to see it takes desperately long, and am not yet able to find bus options.
Is ther busses traveling from Brest to Gomel, and any site…
I am finally visiting Belarus this summer, my very last country in northern hemisphere, hoping to find some hidden gems :)
I am staying there for 4 nights 5 business days only, and is registration still required? I am likely to stay at proper hotel that does it for me, but just in case I change and stay at private accomodation and/ or sleep on the train etc. I would like to know in advance the flexibility and risk that I might have.
Thank you in advance!
Looking at the visa free information on the UK govt website it states proof of insurance to enter Belarus.
I have travel insurance automatically worldwide through my bank, paid monthly...amongst other benefits.will bringing proof of this be necessary on entry?...And also any problems from police etc on entry?
I only plan a quick visit to Minsk, have lived in Ukraine,so should be fairly ok with most things...my Russian is poor though, and not been used much for 10 years.
I'm from the USA. From what I understand, I can enter the country for 5 days without a visa. Are there are restrictions in terms of how long I have to leave the country in order to come back in? e.g. if I'm in country for 5 days, is it possible to leave the country and then come back in the next day and stay for another 5?
I am trying to plan a trip for spring break, specifically from Vilnius Lithuania to Kiev Ukraine. The Deutsche Bahn website shows a train route that goes there but stops at 03:14 in Orscha station in Belarus and departs around 07:00. I am concerned because it is quite late at night, I am traveling solo, and I am a young American woman. Is it safe to be at this station alone for four hours in the early morning hours? I would be grateful to hear any advice.
I read on the german embassy website that recently travellers who wanted to enter russia through belarus were often rejected because officially this border may only be used by russian and belarussian residents... does anybody know more? we wanted to take the train from austria to moscow in march or april, did it before and never had problems.
Could anyone please give me an indication of how much a train ticket from Minsk to Warsaw would cost?
I'm looking into the daily direct trains departing Minsk at 15:14 or 00:01 and woud be travelling on a German passport. I would prefer to purchase the ticket in Minsk at the station or from a travel agency once I'm there in May this year.
