Museum of Confiscated Art information
There are a couple of excellent museums in the city centre. The most interesting is the Museum of Confiscated Art, where there's an extraordinary display of icons, paintings, jewellery and other valuables that were seized from smugglers trying to get them across the border to Poland during the 1990s. Items on display are of unknown origin, hence their display in a museum rather than a return to their rightful owners.
